  40. Re ComStar. Zoom tech rep e-mailed me answer to my system's problem with the modem.
  41. I/O map conflict between the PnP feature of the Rockwell chipset and the floppy drive
  42. on my PCI bus machine (huh?). Said I could try disabling PnP. I chose not to.
  43. Zoom said they and Rockwell are working on a workaround. Well, 30 days have passed.
  44. Nothing to report. Problem isn't even mentioned on their Web pages. No response from
  45. Zoom tech. Report said that some 30% of PCI bus machines are affected. Seems like
  46. this warrants some mention.

  48. Symptom is that the Floppy won't work whenever the board is in place and the board
  49. will not be detected and cannot be programmed with an I/O and IRQ. Happened with
  50. two of two modems and on two different PCI bus machines.
